This feeling goes away after you learn the cadence in which to check in on tickets and how to navigate the system.Pros: JIRA has a simplified user interface for updating stories related to engineering efforts and for reporting on multiple projects rolled up into a larger portfolio.
It is also easy to communicate with whomever is working on the feature or request.
Cons: It is a little overwhelming at first when getting into the software.
Pros: This is a great tool to get visibility into the progress of the engineering team.
For someone who is not part of the engineering organization, it's helpful for me to know know what's going on so that I can promptly and accurately inform customers.
It's easy to use, easy to get started with and best of all I can track all tasks, even ones that aren't assigned to me yet, I can watch their progress and anticipate when or if they will reach my desk.
